Meet Dr. Janice Delgado

Clinical Psychologist

Welcome! I'm Dr. Janice Delgado, founder of OK Minds Counseling. I work with young adults to help them find meaning and connection. I work through a Client-Centered and Trauma-Informed lens to help you understand the relationship between your life experiences and worldview with your current struggles. My goal is to help you find new ways to perceive old situations and create a bridge towards resilience. I mainly use Psychodynamic Therapy; however, I incorporate tools from other therapy models like Emotion-Focused, Interpersonal, Narrative and Cognitive Behavioral therapies to help you develop insight, own your story and develop effective skills to cope with adversity.

I believe in the importance of creating safe spaces and meaningful relationships for growth; therefore, you can expect a warm, judgement free space when meeting with me.

I have over 10 years of experience working with young adults in a variety of settings. Most recently I have worked in community health settings and college counseling centers. In these spaces I have served both as a clinician providing individual and group counseling, and as a supervisor to doctoral students.  I am currently licensed in Massachusetts (#10983), Florida (#PY10099) & New York (#022540).
